Chasing Echoes - Part 1"Nirythia?"Chasing Echoes - Part 1 by Marquite
The hoarse voice made her cringe involuntarily. Didn't people know how to knock? She put down the report she had been reading and leaned back in the chair, studying her fellow Altmer with annoyance.
"Yes?" Her voice was cold, but her orange eyes gave away every ounce of frustration she felt.
"Rulindil wishes to speak with you." The man seemed unfazed by the tone of her voice and he met her gaze defiantly as he casually leaned against the doorjamb.
"Then why did he not come himself?" She asked and folded her hands in front of her on the desk. "He does know where to find me, doesn't he?"
The man nodded. "Apparently it was very important."
Nirythia sighed. "He knows I despises the dungeon. All that blood.. it's disturbing." A chill traveled down her spine and she shivered at the thought of having to go down there.
"We all have our parts to play, don't we, Emissary?" Nirythia could detect the faintest shadow of a smirk dance on the man's lips and she took a deep breath,
Chasing Echoes - Part 2The birds chirping in the trees witnessed about the comming spring and Nyrithia enjoyed the feeling of the sun on her skin. It was only a two hour ride from the Embassy to Solitude so she had declined the use of a carriage.Chasing Echoes - Part 2 by Marquite
She left the horse at Katla's farm and walked up the hill to the city gate. She could feel the glares that the guards shot her, but she held her head high. They were all beneath her, even if they supported the so-called Cyrodiilic Empire.
A chuckle tickled her throat as she thought about the destrought expression Titus Mede had had when the White-Gold Concordat was placed in front of him. Erasing Talos from the Pantheon was just the beginning, soon all of Tamriel would see how mighty the Aldmeri Dominion truly was.
As she approached the gate the guards immediately opened it, muttering something about liking their heads where they were. She didn't acknowledge them with as much as a glance. They were beneath her after all.
She liked Solitude, although she couldn't pla
Chasing Echoes - Part 3Nirythia studied Bahira closely as they shared a meal, conversing quietly about the mission to expose Jarl Elisif. She had been just as hesitant offering food to the Redguard as the Redguard had been hesitant to accept it.Chasing Echoes - Part 3 by Marquite
The more they talked and the more Nirythia saw of Bahira, the more she knew that the woman was more than just a simple mercenary seeking the comfort of easy coin.
"How long have you been in Skyrim?" she asked, chewing absent-mindedly on a piece of chicken.
Bahira swallowed heavily, suddenly avoiding to look at her. She put down her utensils and took a deep breath. "A couple of months.." she replied so quietly Nirythia had a hard time hearing her. "Four at the most."
Nirythia arched an eyebrow. "That's not a very long time, yet you have already earned the trust of a Jarl to be trusted with such a delicate matter..?!"
Bahira wet her lips. "People usually find my company.. desirable." she answered and looked up, meeting Nirythia's gaze firmly. "That makes me easy
Meria Alone“Not now Meria I have important business with the First Ambassador!” snapped a tall Thalmor Justicar with black hair slicked back in a neat style and vivid green eyes.Meria Alone by The-Serene-Mage
“B-But uncle, you promised that we practice magic today!” pleaded a smaller Altmer similar to the Justicar.
The Thalmor agent paused in mid step and gazed down at the smaller Mer with annoyance in his eyes,
“I said, not now, go back to your room before I get reprimanded for allowing a child to be up here!” he snapped before pushing her back, nearly knocking her off her feet.
Meria watched her uncle leave the hallway of the embassy, holding back her tears before wrapping her arms around herself.
“That’s what you always say…” she murmured to herself before looking over to a frost window overlooking the Courtyard of the Embassy.
The snow gently fell from the sky onto the patrolling guards as well as a few Justicars, Meria wished she was allowed into the courtyard
Pride Comes Before the Fall“As a Thalmor Commander, it is your duty to set an example for your troops in a time of need,” The Grand Justiciar had told his student as the two made their way into a lavish temple, “Despite what you may believe, this principle surpasses all other aspects of your position.”Pride Comes Before the Fall by Clandestine-Assassin
“I don’t understand,” The new Commander turned his head to look up at the towering mer, “As a Justiciar, it was my duty, it always had been my duty, to track down those who commit heresy. I had never needed an example - you just need to get your information, and make your kill. Why is it that I must set an example now? It seems rather unnecessary, sir.”
The taller elf extended a hand, gesturing for the younger man to follow him down the corridor. Their footsteps echoed on the marble floor, and their forms cast shadows upon the sun-kissed stone. Attendants of the temple stepped out of their path as they passed, respectfully bowing their heads. As they approached
Season Unending Part 1"Dammit, Ulfric got here first," General Tullius groused as he dismounted.Season Unending Part 1 by heiwako
There were two horses bearing the Windhelm colors already in the High Hrothgar stables as the Imperial contingent filed in. With Tullius, Legate Rikke, Jarl Elisif, Jarl Balgruuf, their housecarls, and Ambassador Elenwen's mounts included, the small shed was overly full. The Greybeards had no need for horses, but they had the building for their rare visitors. It was highly unusual for them to have this many guests at once.
"Of course he did," Elenwen said as she smoothly dismounted. "He's much closer than we were, he has a smaller contingent, and he had to be here first to prove his worth."
"He's also not going to be happy that the ambassador is here," Rikke murmured to Tullius. Elenwen smiled, not acknowledging the legate's words. "You know how much Ulfric hates the Thalmor."
"What was I supposed to do, Legate?" Tullius replied lowly. "She's higher ranked than me and has every right to be here. I couldn't exact
>>PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING!<<
This is a group dedicated to creative works surrounding the tall, golden-skinned denizens of the Summerset Isles, the Altmer, or 'High Elves' as they are known in other parts of Tamriel.
We welcome all works depicting the Altmer, including those born and raised in other provinces as well as servants of the Dominion and the Thalmor!
-This is a Altmer-only group. Your artwork or written works must feature an Altmer as their main subject or character. Characters of other races may be present, but they must not be the main focus of the piece, nor should the focus be scattered amongst other characters of varying demographic (the only exception for this is couples; there may be an Altmer and a character of another race present in the picture).
-We accept all levels of artistic and/or writing ability. However, please keep in mind that there are base standards that must be met to avoid submission rejection:
No blurry/distorted/badly-lit camera shots of your work. If you do not own a scanner, please take special consideration to make sure that the resulting snapshot is as clear and visible as possible (this includes post-production and editing). Also be sure to resize the image to dimensions that are practical for viewing on a screen. If we have to scroll too far left and right or back and forth, the submission WILL be rejected.
No lined/graph paper! Blank paper only, please, unless you know how to properly edit out the lines later.
No stick-figures or severely underdeveloped anatomy. We need to be able to see that the character...is a character, if that makes sense(?)
No edges, tears, smears, stains or any other form of damage should be visible on the paper (with the exception of specific artistic circumstances that have been specifically accepted by the admins).
For written works, we only accept works in English, and that includes proper grammar structure, punctuation, spelling, etc. Works obviously translated via Google Translate or other frequently improper means of translation will be rejected.
Only submit your best work: finished works that are a good representation of your artistic and/or writing ability. No works-in-progress, messy concept sketches or otherwise scrapped works.
-Only submit work that YOU have created yourself. We will not accept work that has been stolen, edited, traced or otherwise copied from someone else. Offenders will be banned on the first offense, as art-theft should be an obvious no-no. If you feel that something has been submitted and accepted that was stolen from someone else (mistakes happen), please contact the group immediately and we will have it removed.
-No drama-llamas! Any instances of bullying, threats, harrassment or trolling on the group page will be dealt with immediately. Offenders will get one warning, and then they will be banned. If you are having an issue with another group member/deviant, please do not bring it to the group page. Discuss it on your own pages or via notes. Otherwise, bring it up with the dA Help Desk.
-PLEASE SUBMIT TO THE PROPER FOLDER, AND NO SUBMISSIONS TO FEATURED! If your deviation does not fit in any of the otherwise available categories, contact us and we will suggest a placement or create a new folder to accommodate!
-If your written work has more than one part/chapter, please only submit the first chapter!
-Only three submissions per day! This is to control the flow of submissions so that it is manageable for admin review, and so that deviations can be approved or declined in a timely manner.
-The group DOES accept screenshots that a deviant has made, themselves, in-game. However, submissions for screenshots are heavily monitored for quality, artistic appeal, and possible redundancy. We will not accept multiple, similarly-shot screenshots of the same character, for example. Be creative and make the screenshots worthy of viewing in a gallery.
-Mature content is accepted, in both visual and written work. Just make sure to send it to the appropriate folders!
-When submitting work, please be sure to review dA's policies regarding content and what is acceptable on the site.
If you are interested in becoming a Co-Founder or Contributor, please contact the group with reasons why you think you should be an admin!
We are glad to have help with submissions and the running of the group!
If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please leave a comment on the group page or send a note.
